Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer, the government will provide an additional 25% funding to The Bath Camerata Trust from the tax you have already paid on your income. In order to claim gift aid we must obtain a declaration from you confirming that you are a UK taxpayer.

If you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

If you are a higher rate UK tax payer, you can also claim back 20% of the total donation plus gift aid. Claims should be made through your income tax self assessment form or by asking HMRC to amend your tax code. Example: You donate £100 to BC Trust - we claim Gift Aid to make your donation £125. You pay 40% tax so you can personally claim back £25.00 (£125 x 20%).
